When it comes to finding food in a survival situation, traps and snares are a key survival skill. In this bushcraft survival video I’ll show you how to make 5 survival traps and snares that work. We’ll first take a quick look at the simple and effective wire rabbit snare, then move on to the spring pole snare. In case you don’t have a good sapling close by, I show how to make a lift pole snare, aka a flip up snare. Then I’ll show how to make a baited cubby snare with both a sapling spring pole and a Spanish windlass trap setup.

Wasnt able to quite see a lot of what you were doing. No zoom in. Is there anywhere i can go to see your traps in more detail? Thank you
I lost it with the filmed rabbit 😂 awesome video. I just recently found out about you, truly inspirational.
What kind of wire do you use?
Ótimo! 🎉
the second trap reminds me of the simpsons episode where homer sets that same trap and when the rabbit goes through the snare the tree flings the rabbit like 1000 yards.
I love your videos, don’t like the traps. Feeding and thriving on fruits, nuts and veggies for 6 years now. It's possible guys!
IM SUBSCRIBED 🐇
And if you are doing an informative description you should describe the best wire to use. Jeezzzzze you're next one😂
I like the last ones. Rabbits remain in very convenient pose this way.
Awww. I need to remember this and go hunt for those plushies. They're so cuuuute!
Decent video. No annoying background "music", no aggressive merch pushing, no wierd stuff.
👍🏻👍🏻
the sapling did not need to have all the branches hacked off.. it still bends…
I know this is a two year old vid but I'm hoping maybe someone could help guide me. Got any good suggestions for snares, traps, fishing, or just all around survival stuff?
Stop hunting animals! Reported
How do you make
I’m 55 years old, broken back, can’t feel but half of my right foot, 18 year Army veteran from backwoods Kentucky and I challenge this boy’s survival crap anywhere on earth for 60 days. I’ll even pay his air or bus fare.
Amazing Idea
Hey man great video if I may add one thing though . I would never recommend to any person to carve wood on their thigh. One mistake could cost you your life in minutes .

With this video, I've seen, along with a few others on water filtering, to know I want to be a sub, so I did! Have you ever thought of using old guitar strings as snare wires? I have never seen it suggested, yet every time I restring mine, it is the first thing that comes to mind as a "re-purpose". Is there a reason that it wouldn't work? Do you know of any primitive live trapping methods. I know that live food can be kept alive until needed in a cage or small pool of water, in the case of fish, but what is a good method to catch the game in the first place? I have seen some small bird traps, but I'm asking about bigger game. If you've done a video already, please direct me to it. Thanks for making all your content. It is truly well produced and worth watching.
Really Good Idea
I don't think that first snare will work Clay. That stiff picture wire is the last thing you would want to use, they'll just back right out of it unless you catch them right in front of the hips and even then. Been successfully snaring for twenty years and from my experience you'll just have a lot of empty traps unless you spook him down the trail right in front of you.
Stuffed wabbits ? I DON'T WANNA TWAP STUFFED WABBITS ! Bugs..is dat you ?
Great video man

Good Video, subscribed!
Very nicely done. I needed a refresher and this was my one stop shop. Thanks n God bless.
Poor stuffed bunny
Haven’t read your book so maybe the following is in there. Sometimes you can’t check traps right away and you don’t want to kill an animal and have it spoil. Solution is to trap live. Game from small sizes to birds can be trapped and stay alive for 2-3 days or more. Please show this type of trap construction. I’ve built cages from small branches that work very well.
I love your setup way better on trap ideas than some videos out there!
Thanks
Can you tell me which forest you went to?
