  1. I live a couple miles from a State Park that has an old pioneer village with old houses, and apothecary, and a working water fueled grist mill. We live in a small country town but I think alot of people would go that state park because it's a perfect location for bugging out. There are caves, water sources, heat/cooling sources. I'm just trying to prepare my family the best way I can and think of everything we can do to survive.

  2. if you have the means take flying lessons which will cost you about eight to ten thousand dollars then you can buy a used float plane which will run you thirty To $50,000 and finally purchase a lakeside cabin for about $100-$150,000. Over the course of a few years, you can bring more and more supplies to your cabin and if SHTF occurs then you are in the perfect Situation to ride it out

  3. If my parents are still around when something like what you are talking about happens, then my siblings and I will probably head to their place in the country.
One or two of us has to be there to help look after them anyway as they are in their 70’:.
Another option besides the logging and mining roads is hiking/bicycle trails, granted you have to know what you are doing if you head for the trails….but I suspect not a whole lot of people will think of those options off the top of their heads.

  4. Like you said OPSEC is Rule 1, so I won’t get too specific. Bug In for as long as possible…even better is if your current place could be considered as a genuine BOL due to isolation or inaccessabilty. For the majority of us, we must improve our homes’ capabilities/systems which includes a BOV ready for some off-roading. Meanwhile, learning 1st Aid or better, how to Pilot, Sail, and fix motor vehicles will also increase your options when SHTF.
The E-mergency portion of my PACE Plan is to get to one of several islands.

  5. Emp. ? How the fuck u gonna survive with a bugout 16:30 bag? Start a farm on state land? U don't have a place to to go without supplies ur fucked, been there done that. U should be ashamed to mislead people

  6. the first year of shtf, 99% of the population will be DEAD. If you're like to be in the 1%, you dig a 20m long tunnel the first 2 weeks of shtf, digging only at night and you STAY in it for a year, coming out only at night, for an hour, to cook a meal. After that year, it will be a small risk to have hidden plots of root veggies and peanuts. So you only have to scatter-bury about $500 worth of salt, sugar, grains and powdered milk. Lashed to a bicycle, towing a little trailer, walking beside the bike, you can bring 120 or so lbs of cocunut oil and nut butters. Mix those with diced, boiled and fried cambium and you'll have good for the year. Need honey, seeds, spices, food supplements, meds. Night vision, silenced autorifle, kindle reader, solar charger, armor You want a saw, not a noisy axe and you cant have a fire in daylight. You cant make noise, show a light at night, nor be out and about in daylight. You can't have an above-ground campsite or shelter.. Your BOL has to be in the woods around your local water source, cause you cant use the roads or a vehicle. The roads will be full of shot-up, flat-tired cars and ambushes.

  7. the 3200 miles across the US has been crossed in 8 days on a BICYCLE, many times. A motorcycle, when there's no cops, can cover 1000 miles in one night. Any place with a road to it will be visited by dozens, if not hundreds of people. Nobody has any idea who lives within a 20 mile radius of them, an tha can be walked in ONE night. If hes got a mountain bicycle and it's mostly back roads, he can cover 50 miles per night. So your "remoteness' is bs, folks., what you need is a little 18" square tunnel, 20m long, dug in 2 weeks after shtf. with a year's supply of food scatter-buried in the area. Your BOL BETTER be in the woods around your local water-source, cause you wont be going any further than that. The roads will be full of shot-up, flat-tired cars and ambushes.

  8. I think bugging out is an absolute last resort. Me, I like the bugout by boat idea. I live in a coastal area in Florida and have access to a 12-acre private island. If I have to bug out its grab my fishing and snorkling gear, jump in my boat and its Gilligan's Island for me, plan B, I live on the edge of a large National Forest and Springs galore.

  9. most of what you said is just ok but when you get to the EV's you are all wrong! One Emp in any part of the country you are in the EV will not work!!! Never relay on technology or electracy will not work and when people think they have transport it will not work, leaving them in a worse way!!! I have been teaching Prepping for over 30 years pay attention to what I say it will help you and your viewers!!!!

  10. My bug out location would be Taos New Mexico. There they have an earthship subdivision. That is rented out to travelers, and homes with a community. It’s a remote desert landscape, but the earthships make it easily livable off grid. Earthships are self-contained offgrade houses. That provide food, water, power shelter with heating and cooling, and sewage treatment on site. A perfect SHTF living environment.

  11. BLM land is not a good idea. That land is rented out to ranchers. It is most often incorporated into their operation. Much of the BLM land can only be reached by trespassing private land. Ranchers have paid to rent that land and have done so for generations sometimes. So it is best to continue on to a national park etc…

  12. If the SHTF has gone violent, you don't want to be in the middle of any path, including railway tracks, as you will be visible from a long way off, and have no cover. You want to be at least 10 into the trees at all times, moving from cover to cover.

  13. Like the idear of a boat, i am a former naval engineer. I live near a marina and 1p mins from my home.

I am not in a city but a few miles outside. Have just had auto maintained its old but reliable. We look out for eachother.

Several country areas near me a lot is farmland. Been collecting food in packets and tins the last few years.

And got some combo military kit like tents, ponchos and lothing. Along with trangia type burners and others. 80 litres of water for drinking only and maps of areas i know. Some first aid kit

Not in usa but uk i guess it holds well for us to that which you mentioned.

  14. I plan on staying put until I can no longer have it. Then hit the road in the RV. Way after. Roads will be packed at first. Didn’t you see the walking dead? 😂

  15. We have millions of military age illegal aliens in our country now. We have seen the progress. That's why they have been coming after our guns. This is all by design. If you wanted to take down the largest Military power in the world. What would you do differently?

  16. Bugging out to a National Park is temporary, and dangerous. City people will be there by the tens of thousands. They will be fished out, and hunted out withing as couple of months, if that. The most dangerous thing will be the people. It will be obvious to the unprepared that the easiest way to survive is by stealing and violence. Good luck. Bugging out to private land of any kind, anywhere, and you will be met with the people who live there. I live very near the Canadian border, in a place that might look like easy pickins by city people studying a map. But everyplace belongs to somebody, and they have neighbors, and nobody is going to put up with it. Fighting people who have lived there for years, maybe their whole life, maybe for generations, and who know every square inch of their land, is all but impossible. They know you're coming, have more firepower and ammunition than you, and it's going to be a one shot and you will die from it situation. Welcome to infection land. The best bet for city people, outside of what the hell are you doing in a city if you are concerned about it, is get prepared to defend yourself the way you are, and where you are. You will be better off than coming up here, to a place where everyone will be your enemy. City people. One of your problems, if you have bug out fantasies that include invading someone elses community, is that you are CITY PEOPLE. You have no idea what you are getting in to when you come to a place like this. It will be……difficult. You have chosen to live in a city. Then live there. I pity the fool who comes in to my valley, who doesn't belong there, after shtf. We know you're coming.
