I am a certified pool operator, one thing most people don't know, is liquid bleach degrades, so you don't want to run to the $ store, buy bleach, and expect it to retain its potency, you should have it, but rotate it from storage – to use. Always have some on hand, if SHTF and everyone else is fighting over toilet paper, you should slip in and pick up some bleach!

The Band-Aids from dollar tree don't stick long. In that case I spend a little more and buy better ones.

The fuel in cheap lighters can evaporate over time. I wouldn't recommend buying them if you plan on storing them. Picking up a Bic or two is a far better option. Bic's are far more reliable, retain their fluid, are less likely to break/fall apart, shoot out large flames, and the flints last a whole lot longer. One Bic lighter can easily outlive three cheap lighters, and you can buy them at dollar stores at discounted prices. If you happen to see one on the ground, pick it up. If it has fluid, there's a good chance it still works. You can check the fluid levels on the darker colors by placing a powerful flashlight on the bottom.

Chlorine can be removed from water after 24 hours by simply adding air, pouring back and forth between two jugs. Let it fall a foot and splash well. Once the chlorine kills all the pathogens, its job is done, and then it can be released to the air.

To add to chicken ramen noodles when I have no meat, I use 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a dash of ground ginger.
This makes it more satisfying and provides some protein.

When you stock up on wet wipes, keep the packages in a ziploc bag to keep them from drying out. If they are dry, donβt toss them. Just use them to dry your hands.
Ramen β toss out the icky flavor packet. Add your own sauce/flavor and throw in some nuts and raisins.
Wash yourself with baking soda water in a bottle made for peroxide it works great.
Ramen doesn't store long. My husband bought up a 50 gallon trash can full for emergency. I had to dump all in the trash all expired and smelled foul when opened. FYI check your backup storage of Ramen it does go bad.

Dollar General/Dollar Tree carry small flashlights to have as spares, I bought a 3-pack of LED lights at DG several years ago.
This is great information. Using one of the empty cans from vegetables for fire/heat or cooking might be an option.
