Don't use plastic, the fumes are toxic. You are literally in a forest, please use wood shavings.

Fun fact for all you bushcraftsman, you don’t actually need to create shavings of plastic to apply this technique, it’s completely unnecessary and a waste of time and energy, just use the “flint” shavings on any form of tinder or fire-starting material and you’re good to go.
