  1. Playing at venues that allow all ages is something that gets often overlooked the most supportive people were always the local highschoolers I'm still not Shure why but they would always be so excited to show up.

  2. as frank iero once said in an interview, you won't get anywhere if you expect something out of your music.

music is an art form and you should treat it as such, not a quick way too become famous. you should make music for the sake of making music, for the sake of making art.

  3. My first gig was pretty good. The place was small but totally packed which I didn’t think would happen because there was flash flooding. I guess I was lucky. My next gig was phenomenal. It was in San Francisco and I had car trouble on the way up from Los Angeles and got there just in time for the show. Woo! 🎉😂

  4. about the start, i was actually inspired by nirvana! ive been playing guitar for a long time, and me and my friends are wanting to make a band, three of us together. im lead singer and songwriter. im still working on it, but idk

  5. i mentioned to my cousin (who is 3 years younger than me) that i would like to start a band and he is actually kinda recruiting people

I am a classically trained pianist i mean i play piano, classically ussually (i finished grade 6 (out of 8) abrsm- thats enough of a base tho righttt?)
Also learned some violin, flute and guitar
I am doing music gcses so learning theory and stuff
My dad used to organise concerts and fly in bands and my parents actually met because my mom’s friend, in a grindcore 2 person band, introduced her to my dad

The band people my cousin is kinda trying to recruit are bad. Like don’t know how to play. But i’m fine with that
I’d rather be the best, if not, i’d feel like i’m wasting the other peoples time
Now the only time being wasted will be mine 💯💯

I don’t think a heavy metal band will work if the drummer and guitarist have no idea what they’re doing, and the only competent person is a pianist, but whatever idk what will happen 💀💀

  6. IMO All instruments are important, but yours is NOT the most important. They all play a key role, ie Drums create a rhythm that can change how a song feels or the rhythm. The bass elevates the guitar and drums, and adds a deeper, smoother sound. The guitar is usually a more rough sound, that is also imo the easiest instrument to play.

  7. Yeah right, find a local show but in my country playing music is literally the least popular thing ever…( exaggerated but you get the point). Swear to god I just wanna find 1 person to jam with but it's kinda impossible bcuz of school and other things blablabla.

  8. Right, all of the above noted, I'm gonna come back in a year and see if I got any closer. Ive been playing guitar for about maybe a year and half at least and and practising singing (looking up tips online and recording myself and listening) though i sing to myself quietly because even if i raise my voice little everyone rotates in my direction looking like their next words are gonna be "shut up" or "you cant sing for shit" (i have received both comments before) and have already been recording demos while still trying to pull a band together (last time we organized practice our drummer cancelled because of some valorant discord community day). wish me luck, if god wills it me and my tiny frontman 10G amp are gonna get farther than phase 1.

  9. Nate I would watch this video dozens of times and always hype myself up but whenever I got the band together we quickly fizzled out but FINALLY I have a friend who’s working on and industrial metal Horrorcore EP and I already have all the instrumentals done and I just wanted to come back and say thanks for making this video
