If economy/society collapsed or there was an EMP (which I believe is likely) & we get thrown back to the 1700s no planes would be operational no personal searches which means normal everyday items could be carried, knives, cigarette lighters, steel batons etc. And the most likely people to handcuff you are the police & if you're trying to escape from police custody, bad idea, just my 2 cents worth. The foil wont work like you think sure it will stop some signals but its very limited what it will do you need a proper faraday cage to stop full tracking.
You glossed right over one of the best tactics…diversion. If you put a barrette, bobby pin, etc. in your pocket, in addition to hiding those elsewhere, when the captors search you and find them in your pocket, they wouldn't think to keep looking for more that might be better hidden.

Take a photo, zip tie the zip together because they can't have sharp objects in an airport, I also rig a grape alarm with a pull pin mechanism so if they get past the first lock and ties then the alarm will be heard and I'll be asking questions at the desk
