  1. there`s a lot of bs out there but you seem to be spot on. but remember, a cool head and rationing can make a huge difference, redundant water purifications also, small rocket stoves, and medical supplies.

  2. I'm way ahead on this, I've got Ziploc bags full of chicken and unopened gallons of milk on a shelf in my basement…. All joking aside I need to restock my supplies.

  3. So, I am no prepper however a lot of the canned items in the stock videos show ring-pull cans. Don't they last substantially less time than fully sealed cans?

  4. Dried TOBACCO!

I know, I know. I'm not advocating using it. You SHOULDN'T, lol. How-ev-er, people do. And, in a SHTF situation, most people won't have it. So, it would definitely be quite valuable, and easily used as a trade good. Basically, it could realistically act as currency even, in small communities or between individuals, even if they don't indulge.

  5. Few alcohols, with the exception of Everclear maybe, have an alcohol percentage high enough to use them as a disinfectant. You're better off using good old fashioned soap. Also, alcohol can damage the tissue around and within a wound. In civilization, that's not to much of a concern, because it's easier to keep rounds clean, or go to the hospital if they start to discomfort or hurt worse than they should. In the wild, out SHTF scenarios, that's not the case. So, be careful using alcohol for open wounds. Don't rely on it. That confidence could literally kill you, lol.

Please don't g take offense. I just discovered your channel, like it, sub'd.👍

  6. I have many of these for long-term food supply. Freeze-dried prepared meals are also good to have on hand. They have very long shelf life, are very convenient to prepare and eat, and are tasty (just need hot water and a spoon). When the S is hitting the fan, you might not have time to cook.

  7. What about brown sugar? Does it have a good shelf life? Because if so it could really be great to add to a lot of these other foods. Like the beans, or the oatmeal, etc. they honey can too, but I think brown sugar could be great in this situation, but idk what its shelf-life is like.
